MIDWAY: new Inria international associate team with McGill University/CIRMMT

The MIDWAY Inria international associated team (Musical Interaction Design Workbench And technologY) involves two partners: the In|Situ| group at LRI/Inria Saclay – Ile-de-France, and the Input Devices and Music Interaction Laboratory (IDMIL) from the Cen

Each laboratory has extensive experience developing new interactive technologies and studying interactive phenomena from complementary points of view. Our goal is to design and implement MIDWAY, a musical interaction design workbench, to facilitate the exploration and design of new interactive technologies for both musical creation and performance.

Coordinators: Stéphane Huot (LRI, Université Paris-Sud) and Marcelo M. Wanderley (McGill University/CIRMMT).

Funding: Inria international associated team program and Fonds de Recherche Nature et Technologie du Québec (FQRNT)

Yannis Manoussakis passed away
6 June 2021
We have just learned of the death of Yannis Manoussakis, Professor at the University of Paris-Saclay, on Saturday June 5.

He was the leader of the GALaC team and had been for many years director of the LRI, we lose a friend and a dear colleague.
